Township Meetings

Regular Township Board meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at the Belle Plaine Township Garage, 25310 Hickory Blvd, Belle Plaine. These dates are subject to change. All meeting schedules are posted at the township garage monthly and updated as needed.

Lot Fees

Belle Plaine Township has adopted a lot fee for any buildable lots that are in the township
The fee schedule is as follows:

The fee schedule is as follows:



DRT Meeting

Drt Meetings or any special meetings that the board must attend with the County are charged a fee to the landowner to cover the extra expense occurred by the township.



Ordinances



Licenses

All cigarette licenses are given out by Scott County to establishments in the Township

Liquor and beer licenses are given out at the monthly township meeting that is held the first Tuesday of each month.



Committees

Each member of the Township Board or a representative of the Township serves on a committee to bring forth information to the other members to keep them up to date on what is happening in the Township.

Legal Notices

The official newspaper will post all legal notices in the Belle Plaine Herald.



Election Information

Belle Plaine Township voters elected to move the Township Election from March to November in the March 2006 election. The next election will be November 2008. This gives each office elected a 4 year term.

November, 2008, there will be two Supervisors and one Treasurer position up for election.

The township clerk will post notice of the election in the Belle Plaine Herald.

A fee of $2.00 is required for any candidate that wishes to run for any township position.
